Metamorphoses Op 10

Available for Recorder, Flute, Oboe, Clarinet or Bassoon

Presented here for Recorder.

This is a set of ten virtuoso stand-alone Concert Display pieces for the accomplished player. I would class them as difficult.

The first one was indeed the first one, and the others developed from it. I find it difficult to correctly score the down bending semiquaver microtone. There is probably a better way to do it than my attempt.

Metamorphosis III is my love-favourite. The notes are easy, the multiphonics are easy, but overall this is a very difficult piece to play. Try it. Can you play it?

The last piece, No IX is deceptive – play it all the way through and you will see what I mean. The 7/4 time is fun.

You want to show-off at a Concert?

Play one of these!
